Girls Day Out Program

A Day of Fun, Friendship and Discovery for Year 5 Girls

Girls Day Out is one of our most anticipated programs, designed especially for primary school girls to experience a fun, hands-on taste of life at St Columba’s College.

Held during the school holidays, the program offers a fully immersive experience where participants can truly explore and connect. With the College grounds to themselves and a day of creative activities, girls are encouraged to step into secondary school life with confidence and curiosity.

Now in its fourth year, Girls Day Out has become a proud tradition at St Columba’s. When we first launched the program, we were one of the few in the local area offering this kind of opportunity, and it’s grown into something really special.

Whether it’s the first visit or they’ve already attended a College Tour, Girls Day Out is a perfect opportunity for participants to make new friends, build confidence, and imagine what the future might hold at St Columba’s College.

Why Year 5 Students?

In line with Catholic school enrolment timelines, this program is designed for students currently in Year 5 who are starting to think about their secondary school journey. Our goal is to give them a memorable, age-appropriate experience that feels both exciting and comfortable.

What to Expect

Each Girls Day Out offers something a little different, but all are designed to be:

  • Creative – with hands-on sessions that reflect the subjects and passions we nurture at the College
  • Collaborative – encouraging participants to work together, make new friends and build confidence
  • Exploratory – giving a sneak peek into our welcoming College environment, guided by our staff.
